Thought are not facts but they are things.
Thoughts create a powerful chain reaction that is directly proportional to the results that we achieve in our lives.
Thoughts are responsible for how we FEEL.
How we feel is responsible for our actions which in turn create our results.
A couple of examples;
“I’m just not good enough to advance in my career.” That assumption leads to feelings of discouragement and which creates less effort, in turn, preventing a promotion.
“I’m really socially awkward.” When that individual goes to a social gathering and stays in the corner alone and when no one speaks to them, it reinforces the belief that they must be socially awkward.
Every word you say to yourself is an imprint that your mind and body must act on. Your mind’s job is to go ahead and make that word real.
The good news is that with this awareness, we can change our thoughts very quickly.
Change your thoughts, change your feelings.
According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive thoughts. So we are actually repeating much of this negativity bias in a loop of painful rumination in many cases.
Creating awareness and discipline to notice and prune these relentless negative thoughts is the hack.
Replace negative self-talk with POWERFUL words that support positive thoughts – even when and especially if you don’t believe what you are saying to yourself initially.
Since thoughts are not facts, and therefore considered lies, tell yourself better lies!
Our minds are very powerful, harness that power and create a life of peace, health and happiness.
